Wright was touring in continued support of his 2007 album “I Still Have a Pony,” which was the 20-year follow-up to his 1987 release “I Have a Pony.”

Here’s a few of Wrights jokes as told in the New York Post’s 2007 article on the follow-up album:

“When I was a kid, we had a quicksand box in the back yard. I was an only child …eventually.”

“I had a dream that midgets were trying to assassinate me, so I bought a bullet-proof car. But since they were midgets, I bought a convertible.”

Steven Wright has acted in numerous movies, released four DVDs, and released two CDs. His latest release, “I Still Have a Pony,” came out in 2007. It follows his first album “I Have a Pony,” which came out in 1985.

He said he wanted to make a new album because “the people in college now weren’t even born or were like five years old when I did my last HBO special.”
